Holy Trinity C of E Primary School

To be the best we can be – for God, for others and for ourselves

Book Hero Mufti - 1st March

Next Thursday is World Book Day. We will be having a mufti day and we are asking everyone to dress up as a hero from a book. We will be thinking about what characteristics make a person a hero to get the children to think a little more deeply about heroism. So put your thinking caps on and we look forward to seeing everyone dressed up. At the beginning of the day Emma from Heartsmart will be reading the new Boris the Robot book to the whole school. In the afternoon four children and the headteacher from St James’ CE Primary School in Wigan will be visiting us. They are one of our partner schools in our new Academy Trust. Together with four children from here, we will be making sisters for Boris the Robot out of junk. Ours will be called Doris and St James’ will be called Beryl. We can then get the robot sisters to become friends and talk to each other between the schools over the

internet.

Every child will also be receiving a World Book Day token they can use in bookshops.
