Apologies for the late email.
You may have seen tonight's announcement regarding the detection of a new variant of the virus in the PR9 area
We have received communication from Sefton late this evening to inform us that schools in our area should continue to remain open to our most vulnerable children and those key worker children offered a place even if they live in PR9.
We totally understand if, for the time being you would rather keep your child at home - home remains the safest place for your child and if you now need additional support to access our online provision from home, please just ask and we will do all we can to help you. Contact your class teacher tomorrow (not tonight) if this applies to your child.
If you do decide to keep your child at home and would like to temporarily give up your place, please let the school office know so that we do not waste time in the morning trying to contact you.
All of our risk assessments remain in place - if you have been previously allocated a place and have no option but to send your child to school and are worried - please re-read the risk assessments on our website, we know that like school staff, many of you have to be at work and we want you to know that we are here for you.
We must all do all that we can to keep our community safe and prevent the spread. Sefton will be setting up additional testing for those living and working in PR9. Details of this will follow.
I sincerely hope that all of our families are safe and well.
