To be the best we can be – for God, for others and for ourselves

Dear Parents and Carers

Sincere apologies for this late email. I know you will be feeling the same frustration as I am.

We will move to remote learning from tomorrow lunch time following tonight's announcement.  Class teachers will post information on their class pages so that you can begin to get organised.  School is now closed to the vast majority of our children.  Please spend the morning reviewing previous spellings, reading books and preparing for home learning.

Please do not send your child to school tomorrow unless they fall into either the vulnerable children or key worker group and you have contacted school to request your place.  The guidance on these groups has not changed since our last lockdown, we sent the link to you earlier today but it can be found on the website. We will require proof of occupation before your child can take up a key worker place.

We will finalise our lists of those children that we can offer in school care to tomorrow.  Children given a place in school will be accessing their class work in the same way as those children at home.  If we believe that you are eligible for a place and you haven't come to school we will contact you to see if we can give your place to another child.

The school places are only to be used if you fall into one of the categories and have no other options.  Home is the safest place for your child currently - that is why we are in lockdown.

Breakfast club will not be open tomorrow.

I know you will all have lots of questions. Please do not contact class teachers tonight – they have lots of work to do organising their own arrangements and preparing to work remotely.  We will answer all queries tomorrow morning. I will send more detailed information tomorrow once I have met with staff and received information from Sefton and LDST.

Thank you once again for your understanding.  I am very sad to be sending this email to you - we were looking forward to welcoming the children back but we must do all we can to keep everyone we love safe.
