Collective Worship: Intent
Collective Worship is a time set aside daily where we come together to share our love of God and give opportunities for spiritual, moral, social and cultural exploration. Teachers and families value the special dimension worship brings to church school life. It aims to give pupils and school staff alike the opportunity to:
· express praise and thanksgiving to God
· foster respect and deepen spiritual awareness
· reflect on the character of God and on the teachings of Christ
· affirm Christian values and attitudes
· share each other's joys and challenges
· celebrate special times in the Christian calendar.
In Collective Worship, we are continually strengthening our vision by looking in depth at a different Christian value each half term, as well as using Biblical resources for children to learn, and flourish in their spiritual development.

Collective Worship: Themes
Collective Worship involves all members of the school coming together and participating. Everybody is expected to take an active part in the Collective Worship. We sing, reflect, pray and engage with the variety of themes together. Each week we have a different theme to reflect the following:
Our worships are linked to a key Bible verse, hymn and a reflection.
We fully embrace our duties as a church school and our worship themes are based on the teachings of Christ and traditions of the Christian Church. However, we lead our Collective Worship in a manner that is sensitive to the individual faith and beliefs of all members of the school. As a school with children from all over the world, it is very important that we embrace, value and respect all faiths.
Collective Worship: Christian Values
Our Christian vision ‘To be the best we can be: for God, for others and for ourselves’ lies at the heart of all we do. Our vision is underpinned by seven Christian values which are woven through our school life.
Our school Christian values are:
Praise Worship
Holy Trinity is a successful school and our Collective Worship reflects the achievements and learning of the children, which are celebrated weekly. Praise Worship takes place every Friday afternoon in Holy Trinity Church. Here, we showcase and celebrate our children’s achievements in their learning during the week. We also celebrate those children who have shown our Christian values in action. This collective worship brings together our whole school, members of church, governors and families. Afterwards, refreshments are held for all in the Parish Centre. This mirrors the Sunday service in church and is an opportunity for families to become engaged with the wider church life.
