Reading

At Holy Trinity we aim to develop a love of reading, as well as the ability to use reading skills for a wide range of purposes. This is developed through the school’s structured reading program which combines a variety of reading schemes with general fiction and non-fiction.  All pupils are encouraged to read widely in order to widen their vocabulary and broaden their experiences, as well as to give them all a pleasure in reading. We would love for you to encourage your child to read at home as much as they can.

If your child has read their school books or wants access to hundreds of books at home please use EPIC. Every child in Year 3 has an EPIC account which they can access at home, anytime. They can read books, answer quizzes and listen to audiobooks at home. There is a wide selection of books to choose from.
