School Closure Resources
As a result of our school closure, all Year 1 children will receive a Learning Pack to take home with them on Friday 20th March. This pack includes Maths, Writing, Phonics and Reading activities for the children to complete within an appropriate time frame. It is not our expectation for the children to complete all the work within one or two days, but to work through the provided activities at a steady rate. Children will also receive their login details, so that they are able to access their accounts for 'My Maths' and 'Purple Mash.' (Links are at the bottom of this page)
During this time, I will be keeping in touch with all parents using our Class Dojo system. Please make sure you regularly check your emails to receive the latest news from school.

All about Year 1
Following the introduction of the new National Curriculum in September 2014, we have produced a 'Topic Web' which outlines what will be covered in each subject relating, wherever possible, to the 'topic' during the half term.
The Topic Webs, together with Key Learning in Year 1, can be found by clicking here
Every parent who attended the 'Meet the Teacher' meeting will have received a leaflet outlining the new National Curriculum expectations for children at the end of Year 1 - which can also be found below.
Children should read at home every night. We listen to children read as frequently as possible and collect their home reading books in throughout the week. Please sign and date your child's reading diary if you have listened to them read at home.
Children's spelling and handwriting homework is sent out on a Monday and is due on the Friday of the same week.
Children will need their PE Kits in school every Tuesday and Friday for PE. PE takes place on a Tuesday and Friday morning with Miss Daniels.

There is also an extra weekly challenge that can earn you 2 more credits! These images are also available on the Latest News Page on our website home page. If you have any issues please contact the school office or our Children's University representative Laura at email@example.com .
