Our School Vision
At Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School, every child is recognised as a unique individual. We celebrate and welcome differences within our diverse school community, encouraging all to grow and flourish as precious children of God. Learning is centred around experiencing the joy of discovery. The ability to learn is underpinned by the teaching of skills, knowledge, concepts and values, with a vision to prepare our children to be life-long learners, rooted in our school motto: To be the best we can be: For God, for others and for ourselves.

We focus energies on ensuring the children and our wider community understand how these guide our everyday lives. As a result of the work we do, children here have good relationships with each other and with adults, understand the importance of spiritual and moral dimension to a fulfilled life and have a strong awareness of social responsibility.
We have received the Liverpool Diocese Church School Award 2 in recognition of the close links we have with our church. We have also recently earned the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Award and are proud that our children understand and uphold the United Nations Convention of Human Rights of the Child.
Promoting British Values at Holy Trinity CE Primary School
The Department for Education state that there is a need “to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”
The government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy and these values were reiterated by the Prime Minister in 2014.
At Holy Trinity, we understand core British Values as:

- Tolerance towards those of different faiths and cultures
These values flow through the fabric of our school ethos. Pupils are reminded of them both explicitly (during assemblies, collective worship) and implicitly through carefully planned units of work in various subjects.
